The raging Roya river with the Breil train station in the background
The first purple wisteria
I recall from boyhood hung
on a wire outside the windows
of the breakfast room next door
at the home of Steve Pisaris………….Poem by Philip Levine

IN VENTIMIGLIA TODAY:
O Pizza Mio! (as this actor sings infront of the camera)
The hams and cheeses inside the shop are good photographic subjects…
A recumbent biker on the street of Ventimiglia
After a little shopping in Ventimiglia market, we went to the hilltop village of Apricale to have our picnic, and to discover the secret of this charming “village of the sun” .
APRICALE is one of the most beautiful village of Italy.
Spring tourists dining in the piazza
“Honey, I told you to bring the camera..”
“Well, let’s just enjoy the sights of Apricale!”
From cradle to grave…

SAORGE, FRANCE
It’s our first time to go hiking since we arrived from a 3-month winter-escaping holiday in the Philippines, and where else to go but to our next door neighbouring village of Saorge.

One of the many (7?) churches of the village
It may already be out of season but we were lucky to find a still-in-bloom mimosa flowers (flowering in February)

MILAN, ITALY
The central train station in Milan was empty because of the Icelandic volcanic ash that stranded thousands of passengers in all European airports except Italy which is less affected.

The “bottomless rice” lady is the most photographed staff in this restaurant in Lahug
Looks like this old Chinese factory (connecting to a Chinese house via a metallic bridge) has its days numbered. There is a huge construction boom now ongoing in Cebu City and I won’t be surprised if a high rise building will be standing on this place very soon.
JAGNA, BOHOL

The Bagras tree (Eucalyptus Deglupta) is indigenous to Mindanao. The leaves are medicinal and the timber is excellent as lumber.
The bark is constantly peeling giving a perpetuating change of color! It’s like a palette of dull green, greyish blue and rusty brown
04 Apil 2010
The long-time closed Mambajao Airport is now a tarmac of ambulant fish vendors and so on…..
